As said by our Visadavak sikamani, Our beloved acharya (Manavala maamunigal), "Acharyan Sishyan Aaruiyrai penubavan Thesaarum sishyan avan seer vadivai nookum.." (Upadesa RathinaMalai) Meaning: Its the responsibility of Acharya to take care of Sishya's Atma guna poorthi. Likewise, its sishya's duty to take care of Acharyan's thirumeni. To uphold the ideals of Acharyan in this polluted Kali Yuga, where in, homams, jayantis supercede prapana kulam, its our duty to stick onto the ideals of our Acharyan. Our Srivaishnava Sampradhayam is usually well known to be called Ubhayavedanta Sampradhayam.Given the Sruthigal, Smirithigal,PanchaRathra Sumiithigal, our
Idthikasa Puranangal, of these various evident Pramanam on vedas with all
Pramana Thiratugal ,our great Alzhwar
Arulicheyalgal( called Nalayira Divya Prabhandham, known as-Dravida Vedham) is
considered to be the greatest of all these above Pramanas for our Sampradhayam. Our Sampradhayam is called Ubhaya Vedantha GuruParamParai(both Sanskrit and tamil Thiratu in Manipravalam Language).Our Sampradhayam is well known flourished and given by our great PurvaAcharyas , starting from our beloved Alzhwars , Swami Nathamunigal and to our swami ManavalaMamunigal. Among these great PurvaAcharyas Paramparai descendent, our swami Pillai UllagaA Siriyan (Swami
Pillai Lokachariyaar) and Our Visadavak sikamani
(Swami ManavalaMamunigal) are responsible for flourishing (and pillars like)
for our Sampradhayam. If we wouldn't have both the above great acharyas, then this world would be in complete DARK. If we wouldn't have our beloved Acharyan Visadavak Sikamani, then our Sampradhayam would be vanished. There are only two types of Acharyas:
1)Anuvirudhi
PrasaannaAcharyargal: 2) KribhaaMaathra PrasaannaAcharyargal: When Acharya sees their Sishya , who is depressed and in the state starving for Athma Guna Purthi. By seeing this Disciple's sorrow,then this Acharya would then take the responsibility to take care of Sishya's Atma guna poorthi. They are called AnuVirudhi Prasaanna Acharyargal. Whereas Acharya will not even think or consider any return back from Sishya and out of their greatness and graceness for their sishya, if they look always Sishya’s Atma Guna Poorthi(Nayanam) by their own nature. They are called KribhaaMaathra PrasaannaAcharyargal. Like our great “Mathurakavi Alzhwar” in “Kanninum Siruthambhu..towards NaamAlzhwar.. i)Payanan Raakilum paankala raakilum seyaln^an |Aakath thiruththip paNikoLvaan. ii) Also like how KoorathaAlzhwan was requesting Devaraja Perumal to give Mooksham for NaluRaaan Pillan even though NaluRaan was responsible for having Alzhwan to lose his eyes. In our great PurvaAcharyargal descendents, even though our beloved Swami Emberumaanar is well known considered to be “KribhaaMaathra PrasaannaAcharyar”, we were very unfortunate to get even a single Sampradhaya RakshyaArtha Grantham from our beloved Swami Emberumaanar. Swami would have shown some mercy on us to give any Sampradhya RakshyaArtha Grantham, but we were unfortunate to see any. So our beloved Swami Ramanujar itself came to us here as Swami ManavalaMamunigal and showered the greatness and blessings on us with all the commentaries for our Sampradhaya RakshyaArtha Grantham with all Pramana thiratugal. Swami ManavalaMamunigal given all the above Rakshyaartha Grantham like the mother feeding her child with ghee and milk. We don’t have even any word to express or show our gratitude towards our Swamis greatness(Vaibhavam) and his krubhai (karunai) on us. Our swami, beloved great Acharyan is the true “KribhaaMaathra PrasaannaAcharyar”. Our Swami Manavaala Maamunigal
was born in the Dvayam, was reared on the Dvayam, and remained firmly
rooted in the Dvayam. We don’t even know how to ? and if any then we don’t
know whether how to express and praise swamis greatness or swami’s all Kalyana Gunas.
Our swami's SriSukthigal and his Grantham are beautifully given and arranged
and its the only greatest wealth now for all of
us. Out of Swamy's all grandhams, 1)"SriVachanaBhushanam",2)
Thatvatrayam 3)Mumukshuppadi,the essential
knowledge of anyseeker of moksha 4) Acharya
Hirudhayam , are the four well known
great grandhams for our Sampradhayam. Swami has given an excellent, great commentaries for the above granthams,it is noticed and known by everyone that swami got a name called "Visadavak sikamani ". Our swami's SriSukthigal and his Grandham are beautifully given and arranged with simple padam(words) in all swamis SriSukthi for everyone to understand and follow easily. VaaNaraPAdai: Kinthvasiya KambhiThaaram Aabhathaala| NimaanaPiVarathanur Janathi MAnthaaSala:|| Sloka Meaning: Swami ManavAla mAmunigal is dearly known as Azhagiya ManavAla
MAmuni, Jeeyar, Periya Jeeyar, Vara vara muni. But our beloved Acharyan has one special
name which no other AcharyA received, even though they all qualify for
the same. It is Yathindra Pravanar. Many stalwart AcharyAs such Swami EmbAr, Swami
KoorathAlvan, Swami MudhaliyAndan, Swami Bhattar, Swami Nanjeeyar, Swami Nampillai, Swami Periya VAchan
Pillai, all have all shown great Acharya Prati-Bhakti towards EmberumAnAr(our Beloved Swami Ramanuja) but
none received this great honor. Even though Periya Jeeyar himself is punar avatAram of Swamy EmberumAnAr, Swamy always showed so much humility and always presented himself with all great Kalyan Gunas. Likewise, we can easily observes that our beloved Periya Jeeyar in his YatirAja Vimsati accepts all NaichyaNa bhAvam of all our pUrvAchAryAs such as Alavandar, KoorathAlvAn, Bhattar on himself eventhough he does not have to do it. It is only Swamis humility and great Kalyana Guanas and always towards our beloved Emberumaanaar. The other
great honor which no other AchAryA received is the well known thaniyan
presented by Lord Even Swamy EmberumAnAr himself did not receive that honor. Every AchAryA appears for a specific purpose. Our Swami AlavandAr appears to begin the tradition of Stotrams and explaining the vedAnta. Our Beloved ParamaAcharyan EmberumAnar appears to establish the Sri Vaishnava Siddhantha dharsanam completely. Our great SwamiBhattar appears to establish Sri
Rangam's and his SriSukthis speciality. Our Beloved great vyAkyAna chakraVarthi swami Periya vAchAn pillai appears to write vyAkyAnam
for prabandams. Our beloved great Pillai UllagaA Siriyan (Swami
Pillai Lokachariyaar) Lokacharyar appears to give us RahasyaARtha granthams.
This way Our beloved Acharyan Periya Jeeyar Swami appears to glorify our beloved Swami EmberumAnAr. And EmberumAn(Sri Ranganatha) inturns
glorifies Periya Jeeyar by accepting Periya Jeeyar as his AchAryAN and
presenting his own sesha paryangam as sambAvanai. Our beloved Swami ManavalaMamunigal would have thought that swami could write many Granthams on his own, but swamy has not done that, he completely reared and firmly remained and rooted with only all of our great PurvaaAcharya SriSukthis and Granthams. Munoor Molindha Murai Thappamal Kettu Pinnarundhu thaam Athanai Pesathae Tham Nenjil Thothinathae solli, Idthu Sutha Upadesavara Vathathenpar- Murkaraavaar Like, it is not important to construct and build new temples now, it is more important to maintain, preserve , support and Estabilish the existing temples.
